About Me

Welcome. I am so happy you have made it this far to check out who I am, and how I can support you.

In a nutshell, I am a Mum to 2 teenage boys and was a single Mumma for 10 long years. I am a woman who has travelled many of life’s challenging, unpredictable and ‘character building’ circumstances, and I by no means have lived a simple and straight path. I love this about who I am, and how this impacts how I practice as a psychotherapist. I can sit with people from a place of lived experience (not a textbook) and I can hold space for the gravity of life’s emotions and circumstances.

I don’t fit inside the box, (never really have!) and this brings a difference to the way I work. This has proven to touch and change people’s lives, in ways I can only hope will touch and change yours!

I support my clients, who include children, teens, adults, couples, and families; to find healthy strategies to support their experience (emotions, thought and feelings) and strengthen their relationships so they can feel peaceful, complete, whole, and safe in the world, in relationship and with themselves. I will hold space for you to be where you are, unedited without judgment. I encourage awareness in the here and now so you can stop living life through your past experiences, or so far in the future that you miss the present moments.

Random facts ... I absolutely love swimming and water (floating especially and kayaking), swinging (especially those round swings you can lye on) and gardening. Without these 3 things, my life would be a lot less enjoyable! I have a passion for abstract painting while listening to music, as I find this is a way for me to express what words sometimes cannot. Nature photography is something that has always made me feel more connected to my environment, and I like being surrounded by nature. By incorporating nature and art as a way of expression, I personally and professionally see and feel the impact of this on others and myself.

Qualifications and Experience

Down to the nitty gritty of professional attributes.

I have a master’s degree in Gestalt Therapy, and I am an accredited Family Constellations Facilitator and Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner. I am a Psychotherapist, which is different, yet similar to a counsellor. Psychotherapy allows us to explore the deeper parts of ourselves and our experiences, potentially over a longer period of time to get to the core issues in a more wholistic way.

I have worked in the disability, mental health, youth, and family sector for over 20 years now. I have managed a Residential Disability home, Youth and Family Program, and have run my own Counselling Practice for over 10 years.

"Tracy has been working with people for over 20 years and this shows in her interaction with a diversity of people. Tracy is authentic, relatable, passionate about people, and their mental health and wellness. It is not what she does for a job, it is who she is as a human. Tracy has the ability to connect and go to places with people that is wise, heartfelt, on point and where the healing happens. Tracy’s approach creates safety and allows healing and growth to occur in a beautiful way. I have referred interstate people to Tracy for years, and I will continue to do so."

"As someone who has worked with Tracy on many occasions, I can truly say that she is someone clients get excited about seeing. She takes a creative approach to practice quite literally, using different media, tools and styles of support based on the needs, interests, and skills of those she works with. She is passionate about what she does, easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable. I highly recommend Tracy to anyone."
