Eco Therapy
My version of eco therapy is using the natural environment as a tool to give inner thoughts and feelings a voice.
My home-based studio is located on 2 acres, with a dam, swing, vegetable gardens, fruit trees, alpacas, sheep, and a therapy dog - a Labradoodle named Beau. Walking around the property when suitable, these aspects can be used as metaphors for life and how we experience it.
When conducting sessions via telehealth (ie. phone or video sessions via computer), wherever the client is in their home or environment can be implemented in the same way.
I use mindful strategies in the environment to mirror everyday life and enhance coping strategies that can be used in any location at any time of the day.
Animals are known for their healing capabilities. Spending time with animals is a way to nurture our nervous system, and allow another relationship to exist ... one without words, expectations and responsibility.

When it feels too much ... remember I am enough!

"Tracy is an exceptional therapist, with a way of helping people sort through their issues like no other I have ever met. Tracy is grounded, warm, empathetic, and understanding, essential qualities for someone responsible for dealing with our inner most feelings.
Having worked in the Welfare field with young people for over 22 years, I have worked with all manner of Counsellors, Psychologists, AOD Counsellors and Psychiatrists, referring young people into their programs, with the aim of assisting these clients deal with a variety of problems. I refer clients to Tracy without hesitation, and I myself have sought Tracy's guidance on many occasions.
I have always been impressed with her insights, and the strategies she conveys to assist growth and the healing process. It is without reservation I recommend Tracy as a resource to anyone wanting to honestly and openly enter into dialogue about who they are, where they are at and what they want to achieve."
