Expressive Arts Therapy

The process of expressive art exercises is not about how the end product looks, but more so on how it feels to create and express what your inner voice is communicating.

Colour, shape, texture, and written words can provide an opportunity to find ways to express what words can sometimes not. By allowing your body to freely express itself, and by being mindful of your body throughout the experience brings another level to the healing process.

I am always amazed at the impact this process has on participants. You do not naturally have to be ‘arty person’. I often hear, “I can’t draw to save my life”. Well guess what ... neither can I! Seriously, that’s the beauty about creative expression, especially as the unconscious mind gets to have a play and create an abstract expression of you!

"I have been working with Tracy for only a few months, however upon first meeting her, I felt this instant calmness. Tracy is so incredibly easy to talk to, I have never felt judged or scrutinised in her presence, I feel like when I speak to her about the challenges of life, she helps me work through things one step at a time, in an effective and calm manner that I wouldn’t have been able to tackle on my own before meeting her.

A session with Tracy is like catching up with a really great friend who actually listens and gives you useful tools and tips! I recommended Tracy to a friend of mine after only two visits as she has just been so helpful, kind and genuine.

I am really excited to see what this year brings for myself and my family through my work with Tracy and would highly recommend her to anyone."
